Soumilee Chaudhuri receives the 2025-2026 Wells Graduate Fellowship!
This is a single-year award valued at $42,000, in addition to student health insurance.
Through his legacy, Chancellor Wells continues to support Indiana University. In his estate, he provided for an annual graduate fellowship. The fellowship will be awarded each year to students who demonstrate the qualities for which Chancellor Wells was renowned: leadership abilities, academic excellence, character, social consciousness, and generosity of spirit.

will be receiving $96,000 over 2 years (ongoing) through this 2023-2025 ADNI HESP predoctoral fellowship (subaward of a NIH U19AG024904. ).
HESP is an umbrella term for the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) and Health and Aging Brain Study-Health Disparities (HABS-HD) mentoring programs geared towards emerging scientists with a commitment to brain health equity research in ADRDs.

Soumilee Chaudhuri, School of Medicine, won the 3MT competition and People's Choice Award. Chaudhuri's topic was "Heart & Brain Tango: Unmasking Alzheimer's Secrets." Chaudhuri won $700 and will represent IUPUI at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri this upcoming spring.
Soumilee Chaudhuri was recently awarded the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) Health Enhancement Scientific predoctoral fellowship.
